The complete hub assemblies have become so cheap that the originals never seem to get repaired anymore. The studs are held in place by the back end of them being peened. To remove, you just drill or grind the peened end and use a punch to drive them out. There is a tool to support the new studs in a vise during installation to avoid damaging the threads. The tool should be reasonably priced and I would guess available through V-Twin. If the replacement studs are made correctly the inside end should soft enough to peen over - if the ends are too hard to peen over, they were incorrectly hardened.
